On Wednesday afternoon a 54-year-old male presented to the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook with life-threatening injuries.

The RNC responded to the hospital and continue to investigate.

The victim is in stable condition and police have arrested a 39-year-old male resident of Corner Brook for aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

He will appear in court today.
