Samsung Flagsships S8 and S8 Plus Launched With Curvy Display

Samsung has launched “Galaxy S8” and “Galaxy S8+” which are both gorgeous handsets. Replacing the S7’s flat screen, it has a tall, narrow screen with two curved sides.

For the first time, flagship Samsung phones have an “Edge” with curve screen on both models. The physical home buttons are removed and like Siri, a virtual assistant, Bixby, has been added.

Samsung’s redesigned their handsets with 5.8-inch and 6.2-inch display screen. The two ‘Always On’ OLED panels have new ratios 18.5:9 with 2960 x 1440  set resolutions.

Hopefully, they will be a  pleasure to eyes as brightest, sharpest, most amazing display ever. The negative side is this display is that they will be running 1080p resolutions by default. This can be increased, affecting the life of your battery.

There’s no more physical home button anymore except the thin bazel at the bottom. It is expected to be highly polished and luxurious than any other phone yet.

Samsung has continued micro SD expandable storage which supports cards up to 256 GB and IP68 water and dust resistance which prevents from submersion in up to 1.5 metres of water for up to 30 minutes. This is similar to the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge.

Launching colours will be Midnight black, Orchid Grey and Arctic Silver but expect more options in coming days.

Many new camera features are added with 8-megapixel front-camera and faster autofocus, a 10% more detailed graphics processing unit, also an iris scanner (which will allow “eye-prints” to be used as an ID alternative to fingerprints), this could be the best part of this camera technique.

You can control your home appliances with a new Samsung Connect app that can be used to control smart home appliances.

Galaxy S8 models are  now available for pre-order on March 30. And its shipping will begin in U.S. on April 21. Starting price will be $720 onwards. Everyone is looking forward for this new fancy handset. Hope Samsung will be back with a bang.
